Temporary Provisions
Shannon Area
Water will be turned off in the Shannon Area today Wednesday 13th January and tomorrow Thursday 14th January from 12.00 noon to 5.00 pm. and again from 8.00 p.m. to 8.00 a.m. as per ongoing restrictions.
Static standpipes will be available at the following locations:
- Bealach Bri (near Shannon Gardai Station) from 12.00 noon to 5.00 p.m.
- Cluain Aileann in Ballycasey from 1.00 pm. to 5.00 p.m.
- Skycourt Shopping Centre from 1.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
- Cratloe Cross (at the shops), from 1.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.
- Newmarket on Fergus Church, from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Ennis Area
Static standpipes are still in operation today Wednesday 13th January from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will continue to be in operation until further notice at the below locations
- Gort Road Industrial Estate
- Cahercalla Estate, Kilrush Road
- White Park, Cappahard, Tulla Road
- Clarecastle Medical Centre
North Clare
- Ennistymon at the Council Offices until 4.00 p.m.
Ongoing Restrictions
Public water supply will be shut off in the following areas between the hours of 8.00 p.m. and 8.00 a.m., again tonight Wednesday 13th January until further notice:
- Lahinch, Liscannor & Lisdoonvarna including the townlands of Ballycotton, Moymore, Doolin, Lough and Doonagore.
- Carrigaholt and Loop Head Area
- Scarriff and Tuamgraney
- Tulla
- Sixmilebridge
- Newmarket on Fergus
- Shannon Town (all areas)
- Cratloe and Bunratty
- Kilmurray and Kilkishen (this will also affect pressure in parts of Quin)
Ennis Area (South)
Public water supply will be shut off in the Kilrush Road Area of Ennis between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. again tonight Wednesday 13th January until further notice.

Shut offs and restrictions are essential for water conservation. Clare County Council wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused and we would appeal to all consumers to conserve water. Do not leave taps running as this is unnecessary and is impacting on our ability to provide service to all.
