Limerick County Council today opened a Book of Condolences in memory of humanitarian volunteers killed during the storming of a flotilla transporting humanitarian aid to Gaza on Monday.
Cllr. David Naughton, Cathaoirleach of Limerick County Council said he was shocked and saddened at the loss of life incurred during the attack on unarmed civilians on board the flotilla ship, the Mavi Marmara.
“On behalf of the people of County Limerick, I would like to express my condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families”, he added.
The Book of Condolences is available for signing at Limerick County Hall in Dooradoyle, and will remain open from 9.30am to 4.30pm each day until Friday next, June 11th.
