Limerick County Council wishes to advise consumers that due to some recovery in the level of water in reservoirs, no night time restrictions in service were necessary anywhere within the County on 5th January.
The Council does not anticipate introducing any restrictions to water supplies tonight 6th January or tomorrow night 7th January.
The Council thanks the public for their efforts to date with regard to the conservation of water and on the reporting of leaks and requests that these efforts continue.
This assistance, along with the necessary repairs to burst water mains which are being carried out by Council crews, has contributed to the overall improvement in water supplies within the County.
In order to continue the improvement in restoring water supplies to normal service levels, householders and businesses are again requested to check for burst pipes/leaks, particularly within unoccupied or vacant properties.
Limerick County Council also wishes to advise the public that the three boil water notices which were imposed on the 21 December for the Abbeyfeale PWS, 22 December for the Kilmallock PWS and 23 December for the Newcastle West PWS are still in place on these supplies.
Consumers are advised to continue following the guidelines outlined on the notices until further advice is issued.
Limerick County Council will issue further updates as available on its website www.lcc.ie
