Hundreds of Family Carers in Clare joined thousands around the country at a series of events marking National Carers Week, which concluded on Sunday.
Caring for Carers Clare co-ordinated events, including a Health & Wellbeing seminar, an advice session on Osteoporosis & Nutrition, and a series of Mid Summers Walks.
“The purpose of National Carers Week was to celebrate family carers and the vital role they play in looking after someone with an illness or disability,” explained Brigid Barron, Innovation and Programme Manager, Caring for Carers Ireland.
“We would like to thank all participants for their kind support during Carers Week. We would particularly like to acknowledge the support of GLÓR, De Valera Public Library Ennis, Clare Volunteer’s Centre, HSE, Rochfords Pharmacy, Ciúnas, Ennistymon Day Hospital, West Clare Family Resource Centre, Kieran Ennis (Laughter Yoga), Vivienne Campbell (Herbalist), Acton BV and Marian Harkin MEP,” Ms. Barron added.
