Arrangements For Lodgement Of Claims Under Farm Waste Management Scheme

Saturday, 27 December 2008 - Junior Agriculture Minister Tony Killeen has reminded Clare farmers of the need to lodge payment claims with local Agriculture, Environment & Structures (AES) Offices of its Department on or before Wednesday 31 December 2008.

The Clare T.D. advised that claims must, as a minimum, include the originals of all invoices marked paid or receipts in respect of works completed under the Scheme.

He said, “The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has become aware that a number of farmers may be experiencing delays in obtaining certificates which must accompany the claim. These documents include tax clearance certificates or concrete quality certificates.  Where such a delay occurs, the additional supporting documentation can be lodged with the Department up to close of business on Friday, 9 January 2009.”

“As previously advised, the deadline of 31 December 2008 is maintained, however, for the submission of a valid claim, including all original invoices and receipts,” added Minister Killeen.
